The process is not painful, the most economic and can deliver results.
Tattoo removal typically takes one or two sessions (sometimes more). This may be done for clients who desire a complete removal or of poor prior implantation of shape, spotty pigment, color migration or most commonly, brows over-saturated in color. Some clients may want pigment completely removed and this may be achieved through our removal process. It does not remove previously implanted pigment entirely but can remove color almost!

CONSIDER THE BENEFITS OF ALWAYS LOOKING YOUR BEST!
WHAT IT IS:
Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic technique which implants shape and color into the skin by using a specialized device. This method employs a form of tattoo as a means of producing designs, shapes and complimentary colors to enhance a client's natural appearance on a year-round basis,
thus saving them time, money and knowing they feel and look presentable at all times.
WHAT IT DOES:
Permanent Makeup will precisely mimic makeup application that was done by a Professional Artist so that you may permanently acquire beautifully shaped Eyebrows, Eyeliner & Lips.
Your face will looks it's best no matter the occasion - be it Sleeping, Swimming, Exercising, withstanding rain or humidity, your colors wont run, smudge or wipe off on clothing or coffee mugs.
CUSTOMIZED LOOK:
Most women want a natural look and some may want a bit more...
With mutual involvement and your approval, your Artist will work concurrently with you during the procedure to customize and
achieve the desired result that you have in mind.
WHO BENEFITS:
For those with physical challenges (such as arthritis or poor vision), allergy sufferers to standard cosmetics, active Mom's or Professionals with demanding time constraints and busy lifestyles; No re-applying makeup throughout the day, no makeup smudged on clothing or Lip stains on coffee mugs,
Permanent Makeup is especially liberating from the challenge of having to draw straight lines on a daily basis and will eliminate the struggle to acquire balance and symmetry on areas of the face.
ADDED BONUS:
Correcting these issues enhances facial features & adds to a more vibrant and youthful appearance. In fact, some people who have contemplated Cosmetic Surgery have found through Permanent Makeup they did not need surgery after all! They often find many areas of concern were corrected through having the proper make-up "template" designed for their face!
BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW???
Permanent Makeup extends even further into other industries to include Medical application by visually improving conditions including
Scar Revision, Alopecia, Vitilago, Port Wine Stain, Stretch Marks, Hair Loss, Breast Reconstruction - Areolas & more!
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Permanent Makeup duration varies per individual as each person has unique DNA, condition, age of skin, Dry or Oily Skin, lifestyle practices (smoking, sun etc.) health and Medication variables. For some, Permanent Makeup can last several years; others several months... eventually clients return for a color refresh when needed. The wonderful benefit is the individual receives a customized color palate/template making makeup application a breeze as it fades (true to color) over time until a color refresh is due.
Please Note: The photos on this web site are a combination of healed results and those that were taken immediately after each procedure...
Because of this, some photos may show some redness & swelling and the
colors may appear more vivid than healed results. This is the normal progression of Permanent Makeup immediately (but temporarily) after...

for Occoquan Boutique Location to be applied to final balance the day of procedure and is refundable or may be moved to another date with a 72 hour notice.
You may pay by cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover..
Late or Missed Appointments
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time to fill out paperwork. If you are more than 15 minutes late, appointment may be rescheduled for another date and your deposit will be forfeited. Please allow no less than 72 hours notice when rescheduling to allow availability for clients. Should you fail to cancel or reschedule your appointment within the 72 hour time frame, your appointment and deposit is forfeited. If you arrive over 15 minutes late, a $25 deposit will be required to reschedule another consultation or appointment afterwards. The $150 will be applied toward any procedure of choice. Permanent Makeup deposits are non-refundable (unless it is determined that you are not a good candidate for the procedure).
Do not bring items of value to any appointments:
Permanent Makeup Artist and her Associates will not be held responsible for any personal items damaged or missing.
Guest Policy:
Due to the artistic and detailed nature of this service, guests are not permitted in the procedure room during your treatment to avoid disrupting the artist. Young Children are not permitted in the studio during a consultation or permanent makeup procedure.
Consultation:
We require a consultation, and medical screening by questionnaire to assess whether a client
meets the criteria to be a Permanent Makeup candidate. Not everyone is eligible due to
health-related issues, age related issues, medications they may be taking, condition or
nature of their skin, certain prior permanent makeup procedures etc... A 24-hour patch test is strongly recommended (a 24 hour spot test using pigment behind the ear to identify individuals who may develop an immediate allergic reaction to pigments) before taking new clients.
Allergies:
Allergies are typically rare. You may choose to waive your patch test but in doing so you will not hold Permanent Makeup Artist or her Associates liable for any reaction that you may have during or after said procedure. You also understand that allergic reactions to pigments may appear years later.
The Consultation is free of charge; after appointment, should you decide not to move forward with a procedure, the $125 fee is refunded. If you wish to continue, your deposit will be applied towards the balance of desired procedure. Client acknowledges and specifically disclaims any responsibility to Permanent Makeup Artist or their Associates for any adverse reaction to the application of pigments or topical anesthetics. Initial aesthetic consultation may be done in person or in some cases over FaceTime.
After Consultation:
An accurate price quote is given. Clients are never pressured to schedule a procedure. In fact,
all procedures should be carefully considered before scheduling them. This quote is good for 4 months. After 4 months, a new consultation will be required & prices may change.
Artist / Client Interactive Process:
The Permanent Makeup Artist will work directly with the client during the process at all times. That means you will have input on the color, shape and outcome as the appointment proceeds. While we will attempt to deliver your desired results, it is understood that Permanent Makeup procedures are of an artistic nature and no final result is guaranteed.
PERMANENT MAKEUP IS MOST ALWAYS A 2-STEP (SOMETIMES 3) PROCESS!
Plan to return for a 6-8 week follow-up for your final color implantation, size & shape.
The first visit we discuss ideal colors, shape and style. Christina will approach your first
session CONSERVATIVELY to ensure that you will be satisfied with your long-term results.
The second session will involve more specific detail to the procedure. We want you to look like you - only better!
- THE DAY OF YOUR PROCEDURE -
Take No Stimulants:
Avoid aspirin, coffee, energy drinks, green tea, smoking, vitamins, herbs, salty food, etc… anything that will stimulate blood flow 24 hours prior to your procedure. Stimulants increase blood pressure thus enhance bleeding which pushes pigment out of the skin.
Contact Lenses:
Do not wear contact lenses to your procedure. Make sure to bring eyeglasses if needed. Also should you drive, sunglasses are a good idea to bring in case of swelling or bruising. After any Eyeliner procedure, your eyes will feel like you have had a good cry for a couple of hours.
Selecting Colors & Shapes etc. :
The discussion with your Artist/Technician will be interactive. We will discuss colors and shapes & styles before, during and after your procedure. Selection will involve what compliments your skin tone best, and what areas of the face are deemed best for shape
which also includes a technique called "mapping" in some cases. It is important that you are comfortable during the sessions and you are encouraged to ask any questions you may have.
The Session time:
Permanent Makeup is relatively painless. You will get topical numbing creme that must
penetrate for about 15-20 minutes. Once the procedure begins, a secondary numbing agent is added to the open skin and the procedure should feel mostly like a toothpick scratching the skin a little. Most people report they cant feel a thing and a few even fall asleep! Most Sessions last about 1 to 1.5 hours per site location.
The Procedure:
The color chosen WILL be a slight larger, bolder and brighter than your desired results, it may also look a bit blocky temporarily as it heals these colors MUST be 30 to 40% stronger as the finished healed result takes place in COMBINATION with your skin tone. Much like wax paper provides a softened filter over a shade of color, your skin does the same thing as it is healing and even after.
- HEALING PROCESS & AFTERCARE -
The Healing Process:
Healing on average takes between 5-7 days on average. You initially may or may not feel some tolerable swelling or peppery-burning sensations for up to 2hours or longer... Your skin will go through an adjustment phase every few days; slough & flake in tiny little fish-food-like flakes until the top layer of skin has initially healed. The second and third layers heal completely a little later which is why final results will not be apparent until 6-8 weeks afterwards. It is important to allow the process of the skin to heal before you can judge a result... BE PATIENT!
AVOID:
When bathing, put a slight amount of ointment on Brows... Avoid Steamy baths & showers or facing the water head directly, swimming of any kind, dirty environments, exercise or sweating (body salt breaks down pigment) for the first 5 - 7 days as it will effect your color retention and healing process. Be sure to purchase a new tube of Mascara if you had an Eyeliner procedure
to avoid any bacteria getting into the skin.
Ointments:
You may use certain ointments SLIGHTLY such as Aquaphor, but use them VERY SPARINGLY
on Brows or Eyeliner. Lips may be heavier as they often are heavily chapped. If your skin has
oily tendencies, you may be required to dry heal.
You may (or may not) like how your procedure looks as it is healing:
The reality is, healing is as unique as each individual and we encourage clients to have faith in the process of that healing time. Most times clients like how their procedure looks, on occasion
they are disappointed initially and that is typically because they have not had their second session yet. This is NORMAL either way. Please contact me to so that I am aware that you
have some questions or concerns so that I can answer them for you.
NOTHING MORE CAN BE DONE:
during the healing process until the skin has completely healed. This means no
touch-ups or color change adjustments etc. may be done until your skin has completely healed back to it's healthy integrity (6-8 weeks)... this means -Clients will NOT be seen for any additional treatment adjustments prior to the proper 6-8 week healing time .Some healing
may appear uneven or slightly blotchy, the shape may need tweaking, the color may not be quite where you want it etc. THIS IS NORMAL and these issues are addressed at the complimentary follow-up session within 6-8 weeks later. You may choose to use makeup to compensate for any color or shape discrepancies once you are healed after the first week until your Complimentary Follow-up Session.
TRUST THE PROCESS & JUST BE PATIENT:
It is important for your best results to follow instructions precisely. As the skin flakes
and sloughs off it is important NOT TO PICK or pull at the flakes. This can damage skin further, effect retention and even cause infection.
- EXTRA INFORMATION -
Cold Sore Medications:
Prescribed Viral Medication is encouraged for any Lip or Eyeliner procedure...
If you have any history with viral infections such as cold sores, herpes simplex, fever blisters, mouth ulcers etc… You are encouraged to contact your Physician to obtain the proper prescription medication i.e. Valtrex (1000 mg per day), Aclovier, Tamoclovier, Famier, Lysine, Zoverax) 7 days prior to & after your procedure. to help prevent outbreaks due to pigment implantation stimulation prior to procedure. This is also true for those who have never experienced such outbreaks as any procedure can trigger dormant virus’s (although it is optional if you have never had any before). This is for any type of Permanent Makeup – not just lips. We may be able to refer a Doctor to prescribe these medications to you.
Botox & Fillers:
Should be done no less than 2 weeks prior or after Procedure.
Dental Work
If you are having any Lip procedures, have your dental work done prior to the procedure or wait until 10 days after.
Electrolysis & Skin Peels:
Should not be done within 5 days of the procedure. Do not pluck, tweeze or wax brow areas at least 24 hours prior. Do not resume any method of hair removal for a week after the procedure.
Latisse (aka Eyelash or Brow growth serum) or any Similar Products…
May not be used for 6 months prior to a procedure and 3 months after. These products may cause pigment to migrate and become blotchy.
Pregnancy:
If you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant,
you are NOT eligible for Permanent Makeup during this time
to avoid risk of infection to baby! Breast-Feeding must be finished
6 months before you may have any procedures.
Compliance:
All procedures shall be performed in strict compliance with all hygiene and health protection measures. All needles & supplies used to perform procedures are sterile and disposable. It is our guarantee the Permanent Makeup Artist is professionally trained and licensed.
Photographs:
Photographs are required (before and after) for private record of procedure progression by Permanent Makeup Artist. If allowed, permission to use said photographs for online purposes and in office examples is appreciated.
- AFTER CARE - A VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER -
YOU are responsible for your AFTERCARE is especially important and can greatly effect the outcome of your results! Client MUST adhere to all After-Care instructions for optimal results. Artist will discuss Aftercare with Client at conclusion of all sessions and supply written instructions for optimal results. Should you have any concerns contact Chris
@ 703-213-5255. Should you develop an infection seek medical attention.

What is Permanent Makeup?
It's Liberating!
WHY??? Well... See this picture over to the right? ...That's Me with NO MAKEUP on!!!
I have had my Brows, Eyeliner and Lips Tattooed now for over 7 years and I roll out of bed this way every single morning... (okay truth be told I am wearing mascara in the picture...)
Permanent Makeup is the process of implanting pigment/color into the dermis of the skin to aesthetically enhance the natural features of the face. It can also be applied to other aspects of enhancement or correction via medical purposes such as Breast Reconstruction, Scar Revision, Symmetry Correction, Burns, Alopecia, Burns, Discolorations and more. The recovery time is nominal and the results are pretty instantaneous! No more uneven lines to draw, smudging, runny makeup when you are swimming or on a hot, humid day... Permanent Makeup is a smart, time-saving way to look your best without any effort. You wake up each day looking great and saving time that you used to use getting ready in the morning. Everyone seems to say "I should have done this many years ago" once the start enjoying the benefits that Permanent Makeup provides.
Who Benefits from Permanent Makeup?
In general, today's busy women who want to always look presentable and who want to shave off extra time taken to get dressed in the morning; Mom's and professional women, those who are athletic or swim, have certain conditions such as Stroke Survivors, Arthritis, elderly and those with sight issues or steady hand issues, dexterity issues, Parkinsons or MS... Permanent Makeup ensures professional application look all year round! The goal of Permanent Makeup at "Be Always Beautiful Boutique" is to enhance your natural beauty, Making you look like you
- only better!
How long does each procedure take?
Permanent Makeup generally is a 2-step process that requires two visits (sometimes more) to obtain the desired outcome.. Depending on the procedure, it normally will take 1.5 to 2 hours. A portion of this time involves a consultation of the Client's desired look, a discussion of color choices and mapping of the area that'll be treated and allowing time for the client to absorb a topical anesthetic so that they are comfortable during the porcedure. Typically the follow-up session requires less time.
How Long Does Permanent Makeup last?
Longevity varies from person to person depending on their lifestyle and factors such as sun exposure, health and medications, smoking, products used on skin, the individual's DNA and metabolism.
Is Permanent Makeup the same as tattooing?
Permanent Makeup for the faced is different from Body Art. Body Art uses inks and heavier machinery whereas Permanent Makeup uses pigments designed just for the facial areas.
Is Microblading the Same as Micropigmentation?
Microblading and Permanent Makeup by machine are very different by way of application and longevity.
Microblading - while recently popular in the media, is essentially a hand-held tool carving hairstrokes into the brows similar to an exacto knife. Whereas Permanent Makeup by machine is much kinder to the skin and will typically lend much longer-lasting results.
At Be Always Beautiful, a State-of-the-Art Computer/Machine Device is used that functions more like a sewing machine where the needle goes straight up and down into the skin, simulating hair strokes, therefore being less injury and damage to the skin.
Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo process that lasts between 4-6 months on average before needing a color refresh. Microblading can only be performed a few times before it starts to leave scaring or possible keloids. With the machine the implantation of color is far less taxing to the skin. It is a much gentler technique especially on mature skin.
Is Permanent Makeup safe and is it painful?
When you arrive to have your consultation, your health history is reviewed to ensure that you quality for the procedure. Not all individuals are candidates. Upon approval, the color applied to the skin comes from a high-end pigment line approved by the US FDA and the procedure is performed with disposable, individually dispensed supplies and digitized, sterile equipment specifically designed for facial
Micro-pigmentation - making the procedure quite safe.
With strong numbing agents the process is relatively painless and for most feels like a toothpick scratching the surface of the skin.
What is the Healing Process for Permanent Makeup?
Generally speaking healing is an individual experience however most people can expect a little swelling and possibly some bruising with Eyebrows or Eyeliner after a procedure during the next 7-10 days as the healing process begins. Lips are a different skin texture, they tend to swell the most and may remain puffy from 2 hours up to 2 days. The skin will heal from the top layer of the skin superficially healing first, gradually down to the lower layers of the skin - 2nd & 3rd layer healing in that order. As those layers heal they will cover the pigment with mild scabbing that will push up and out of the top layer of skin during this time. The healing is likened to the texture of small fish flakes and eventually fall off and is very mild. You can resume regular activities shortly after the procedure. It is advised to stay out of the sun, away from dust, no swimming or saunas and avoid excess sweating such as gym exercise the first few days. Final healing results occur about 6-8 weeks out before results can be determined as the skin is adjusting during the healing period and the pigment color will come and go during this time until the healing is complete. At that point you will want to secure your second follow-up appointment also know as the "Perfecting Session" to address any uneven areas where the color needs to be boosted or adjusted.
When can I get Botox or Filler?
It is advised to get Botox or Filler after you have had your Permanent Makeup procedure or two weeks prior.
When do I need a "Perfecting Session", Follow-up Appointment or a Touch-up? What are the progressive Stages of Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup is typically a two-step process... Perfecting Sessions take place generally 6 to 8 weeks post your initial procedure. In this session we will address final details to your procedure to ensure its best final results. This session is included complimentary to your first appointment and must be completed within the next 4 months of your original procedure.
A Follow-up would be any session needed after your complimentary one within a year and a half time frame. you have up to 18 months to do a follow-up to freshen up the color and shape of your procedure and is half-price of the original price for the procedure.
Anything over 18 months will be considered a new procedure is subject to the current full price.
